I have often told our kids that we aren't poor, we just aren't as rich as other people around us. Living in a third-world country has helped us see that if you have a roof over your head, food to eat, and clothes to wear, you are not poor...you just aren't as rich as other people may be.

Riches are not necessarily measured with money. We are rich in relationships. We are rich in experiences. We are rich with peace in our hearts. Many people who have a lot of money don't have these things.
