A note I scratched out in early June while I was attending the Minority Language Media Producers Conference in Guatemala. I've included the song here if you want to hear it."This morning I was flooded with an amazing sense of how blessed I am and how priveledged I am to work with such amazing people.
I saw a glimpse of heaven. Three of the conference attendees, who came from Honduras, showed a music video they had made - and they taught all of us the chorus. As we were singing in Garufuna (their language), I could hear the wife of the presenter....she was singing from the bottom of her soul. I noted also that when the presenter was teaching us the words, his body began to slowly sway - as if he were dancing to a music we couldn't hear yet.
So they started the video - it's not a slick production. It was done in someone's back yard. But it was done by a group of people who did it with their whole heart.
And we sang...and suddenly I found myself in heaven, praising God among those from many nations and tongues."
My note ended there. As I said, I am blessed and priveledged to work with such amazing people.
