December has already been an exciting month here in Peru. In the first few days, three hundred Megavoice players arrived at ILMAV's office. These players will be loaded with the Scriptures in the Yaminawa and Huallaga Quechua languages and distributed, so people can hear the Bible in their own language. In essence, these Megavoice players are small "audio Bibles" that are solar powered and contain the entire New Testament.
Thanks to two seperate donors, The Yaminawas will have 200 audio Bibles and the Huallaga Quechuas will have 100 audio Bibles.
Currently, the units are being loaded with the Scriptures, and ILMAV is coordinating the distribution so that the players will be used in a structured listening program. This ensures that the Scriptures will have maximum impact on people's lives.
This project has been a collaborative effort between Audio Scripture Ministries, Megavoice, ILMAV, and Wycliffe Bible Translators.
